If you wonder what the Christian faith stands for......have concerns about your own future and spiritual state, or are just interested in spiritual matters in general, please take a look around our site. If you are within reasonable geographical distance from Heathmont, stop by and take in one of our worship services. You'll find us very friendly and willing to talk. Drop us an email if you have questions, we'll try to help. If you are already a Christian and are looking for a new place to worship God and serve Him, the following may help. Our services are a mix of traditional hymns and modern Christian music sung to the accompaniment of a keyboard and guitars played by the minister and members of the congregation. We encourage the widest possible participation of our members in the worship services through the reading of Scripture, leading in prayer and other aspects of fellowship. We are keen supporters of overseas missions and missions to the local community, which we are in the process of developing through serving outreach to local schools and community groups. Our members are a mix of all ages, from new-born babies through to our oldest saint who is 90 years of age (and still going strong!) with a strong representation of young men and women in the 20-30 age bracket. We aim to build a congregation that provides a spiritual home and opportunities for service for all age groups and to encourage the fullest possible fellowship between them. As yet, only small in numbers, we are a congregation that is rebuilding in numbers, vision and purpose to be a force for Christ in the Heathmont area. You might like to join God's work here! Minister: Rev Andrew VennAndrew is a graduate of the Presbyterian Theological College in Melbourne. After serving for twelve years with the Dromana/Monrington parish on the Mornington Peninsula, Andrew was called and inducted into the Heathmont charge in December 2002. Andrew Is married to Marilyn and together they have three children, all adults. |
